OCLA Seeking Administrative and Contract Support Assistant

Duties

The Children’s Representation Program (CRP) administrative and contract support assistant (ACSA) works collaboratively with others in the CRP to support program functions and independently contracted attorneys. The ACSA will:

  • Receive, review, and process invoices and vouchers
  • Enter data into the contract tracking system
  • Collect manage, and report various program-related data
  • Coordinate, organize, and manage event logistics

In addition, this position supports others within the agency and may be assigned other duties necessary to support the CRP and, more generally, staff and agency functions of  OCLA at large.

OCLA Welcomes New Director Sara Robbins

After more than 18 years, OCLA’s founding Director, Jim Bamberger, has retired.

Following her appointment by the Washington State Supreme Court,  Sara Robbins assumed the position of Director of the Office of Civil Legal Aid on January 2, 2024.  Sara brings a wealth of experience and energy to her new leadership position and will continue to guide the agency consistent with its core statutory responsibilities, agency values, and its racial equity and justice commitments.  Sara can be reached at sara.robbins@ocla.wa.gov

 

OCLA Adopts Race Equity and Justice Initiative (REJI) Statement of Purpose

Race Equity and Justice Commitments

OCLA was an initial subscriber of the Washington Race Equity and Justice Acknowledgments and Commitments.  Following well over a year of intentional work, the OCLA team adopted its first REJI Statement of Purpose.  The REJI Statement of Purpose outlines the values and commitments that will guide our internal and external efforts in the coming years.
